Day 1 24/3/2023

On the train we all played on our phones even though the leaders were visibly upset with us. When we got off we shifted over to a bus and spent another 45 mins wasting time, and when we did finally arrive, it was completely dark. At about that time, another leader arrived in a car and took most of our bags and most of the younger kids. The rest of us kids were left to walk the two kms to camp. At camp we immediately began unpacking and getting ready to sleep. For dinner we ate pasta from home (With cheese!) and the other kids unpacked their things such as pastries and sausages. After we went inside, we changed into our pyjamas, brushed our teeth and went to sleep, after being read to by a random person with a random book. Of course, most of the scout leaders spent an extra who knows how many hours chatting into the night.

Day 2 25/3/2023

As soon as I woke up I realised that one: I was still at the scout camp and two: That everyone was already messing around. So I got up, got dressed and went outside with mine and my sibling’s breakfast. As I ate, the rest got up and began eating with us. After we finished up eating we were told to go get our lacrosse sticks (Secretly Supa Scoopers) and wait in the field while the leaders got the balls ready. As soon as the balls arrived everybody started acting as if they knew what they were doing when really only Blondy and Vodník did. When Jeti (The main leader there) finally arrived all the scouts stopped messing around and listened to what he had to say. He talked about how you can swing the stick back and forth to stop people smacking your stick brutally, like they were welding clubs or something, I don’t know. Then he told us to practise that same technique on top of chucking the ball at each other, so we wouldn’t be the audience but the player. So that pretty much sums up the morning. After that, we prepared to go on a walk to a castle ruin. Along the way we found an ant nest, went to a couple of good lookouts and started carving boats for that night’s boat race. (Out of bark) When we did arrive at the castle we all went down to the river because all the other activities were shut for the winter, and because the river was apparently really cool. It really was, because there was some sort of glitter/gold in it, and everyone was staring at it in amazement. While there we made a campfire a little ways away and cooked sausages on it. (Actually two campfires because the first one was in the wrong place.) We also continued work on the boats and pranked each other

with hot sauce. We finished cooking sausages and put out the campfire with water from a big water jug. We continued walking and the little kids got a trip in the car again all the way back to camp.

The rest of us were stuck with walking through rain, wind and mud. When we did get back, it was straight over to soccer and the eventual boat race in which Vodník got first, Sussy second and Josef third. Then we started a campfire and played a couple games of palerrmo. We finished off the day with the nightly “Reading'' routine, had spaghetti and went to bed.

Day 3 26/3/2023

When I woke up I realised that one: someone had vomited all over the room, and two: that Josef was crying. So I did the only thing that came to mind. I went down and comforted him until he stopped crying. Then I lied down with him to put him back to sleep until a less early time, but it turned into him poking me all over, laughing as he went. And that was how we ended up outside several hours earlier than everyone else. Felix followed and after a while his friend Olly followed. They played Unstable Unicorns together, and very much annoyed the crap out of Jeti who was sleeping outside. When everyone else got up they made scrambled eggs and sausages. And a hot dog to anyone who wanted it. Then we did a couple of actual lacrosse matches, which were absolute chaos, and nobody won anything. We started cleaning up and preparing to leave, (Which we did) and almost got late for the train! (Or it’s just Jeti exaggerating) on the train we annoyed Jeti again with our phones, and everybody was smiling when we got back.
